Eenmaal voorbij de Repsol Honda rijder wist Lorenzo de achtervolging op grote achterstand te rijden om uiteindelijk met een voorsprong van 6,743s op Andrea Dovizioso zijn derde overwinning van dit seizoen te pakken. <br /> <br /> Omdat Pedrosa pas als achtste de finish wist te passeren is Dovizioso nu de nieuwe tweede man in het kampioenschap terwijl de afwezige Valentino Rossi naar de vierde plaats zakte.<br />

Ik dacht dat hij me wel lang zou kunnen volgen maar dat deed hij niet en al snel reed ik in mijn eentje. Ik hoefde me dus alleen op mezelf te richten; ik wist niet eens wie er achter me reed!Ó<br /> <br /> ÒIk had niet kunnen dromen van drie overwinningen in vijf races maar hier zijn we dan en ik voel me op dit moment mentaal erg sterk. Ik wil dan ook mijn team, Yamaha en Bridgestone bedanken voor deze overwinning. De ÔBeatlesÕ act was iets leuks voor de fans, ik ben gek op hun muziek en ik dacht dat het leuk zou zijn om hen hier in Engeland te eren.Ó </blockquote>
